Following the successful completion of our project at Unit 1 Prior’s Way in Maidenhead, we have now finished the refurbishment of Unit 6 on the same development.

The asbestos roof of Unit 6 had suffered severe deterioration, which had led to considerable water ingress, causing major damp and mould issues. To prevent any further deterioration, the roof required full refurbishment and recoating.
Our first priority was to ensure measures were in place to enable our team to work safely on the roof. The roof was then surveyed to identify areas that required repair by installing replacement roof panels to match the existing profile. Our approved installer then prepared and recoated all the asbestos sheets, edge trim sections, and capping sheets with a Triskell product specifically for asbestos roofs that comes with a 20-year guarantee.
To make the warehouse an inviting space to work in, we redecorated all wall and floor surfaces, applying epoxy solvent-based floor paint and fresh white paint on the walls. By refreshing the decoration, we created a clean, and polished finish in this space.
On the ground floor, we installed new 60-minute fire-rated doors to make this an even safer place to work, as well as a new DDA WC and shower facility, to complement the new DDA access.
The refurbishment of the mezzanine included the installation of a new comfort cooling system, lighting, and small power. Smart vinyl flooring was laid in the WC and kitchen areas, along with new carpets throughout the offices, giving these areas a new lease of life and a fresh feel.
The final touch we added to this unit was the outside elevation – we cleaned and replaced some of the bricks and cladding. We added new gutter linings and repainted the metal cladding fascia, which had been painted black but is now a light grey.
Our expert skills helped our client create a smarter industrial space that is now on the rental market, and we scored an impressive AA+ for our health and safety on-site.
