Elsley House, W1
We collaborated with architects Buckley Grey Yeoman to deliver a high-quality design and build solution for the workplace of one of our existing clients. The brief was to create a bespoke office fit-out that would enable our client to enhance their performance at work whilst enjoying the conform of their home.

Design and build brief
The brief of this design and build project was to create a space which reflected the client’s high-end business operation with the aim of balancing the comfort and well-being of their team with an enhanced workplace. Buckley Grey Yeoman’s design conceived of a refined office space characterized by the use of bespoke dark timber joinery, brass detailing and a soft pastel colour and fabric palette.
We began by combining two existing spaces. The larger, front end space was designed with a large open plan workplace with sit-and-stand desks throughout. To this, we added a large boardroom and library, three front-of-house meeting rooms, three phone pods and four private offices including a bespoke office and meeting room for the CEO. A separate kitchen and smart WC for visitors were also added.

The existing services system was reconfigured and supplemented to provide the correct level of comfort control and mechanical ventilation was added to the boardroom. A completely new LED lighting scheme was introduced with feature light fittings to help achieve the high-end ambience that the brief outline. We laid a stylish hardwood parquet flooring through circulation routes which were complemented with double glazed “crittall” style partitions giving the workplace a very current and classy style. Dark timber panelling and fabric wall coverings were used extensively throughout.
The other small side of the office was dedicated to relaxation and collaboration. To create this design and build project we reconditioned the terrace and installed a large bespoke kitchen with Fenix-faced units, Silestone counter-tops and stylish black fittings complete with an island and communal dining space. This has created enough space for lunch, informal working and business social events.
This design and build project needed to be completed within 14 weeks, which presented a challenge given the level of detail required, such as the high-quality finishes of the bespoke joinery. By working closely with the wider design team and through focused Project Management and procurement, we met the project’s deadline and budget making sure the space was ready for our client move in.
